In this talk, Dr. Lawrence Feingold will focus on the art of music and its ability to influence the soul for better or worse, stirring it to noble or base passions. He will begin by looking at the fundamental qualities of the fine arts in general, and then focus on music in particular. Finally, he will apply these considerations to sacred music. Does it matter what kind of music we use in the sacred liturgy, and why?
