The Church Prefigured in the Bible | 16:2

In this talk, Dr. Lawrence Feingold will discuss how the Catholic Church is prefigured in the Old Testament.
In order to prepare for the Incarnation of Jesus the Christ, God chose one people from all the nations of the earth. He elected Abraham to be the father of this people and revealed to him that in his seed all nations of the world would be blessed. The Chosen People can be considered the “Church” present in germ in the period of expectation of the Messiah. They lived by hope in the realization of the Messianic promises that all nations would be blessed in the future Messiah who would establish a universal and eternal kingdom—the kingdom of God.

The Church is Catholic | 16:3

In this talk, Dr. Lawrence Feingold will discuss how the Church Is Universal or “Catholic."
The Church must embrace all peoples and be truly catholic, from the Greek word καθολικός, which means “universal.” St. Paul speaks of the universality of the Church as a “mystery hidden for ages in God” (Eph 3:9). In Eph 3:4-6, he speaks of his “insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; that is, how the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the Gospel.”

The Church is One | 16:4

In this talk, Dr. Lawrence Feingold will discuss the ultimate reason for the oneness of the Church, which comes from its end or purpose. God entered into human history in order to bring men into union with Him, and then into union with one another in a supernatural society which is to culminate in the heavenly communion of saints: the Church triumphant.

The Church is Built on the Apostles | 16:5
